My First Rav Swap - What I got

I received this package in the mail the other day:
A coffee cozy, sock weight yarn (but it's wool, so it will be finding a new home,) a couple of fun comics, a pretty spring colored cotton washcloth, and hand made soap.  I made sure to put on all my questionnaires and lists that I was vegan, and what that meant in regards to this swap, (what to send me and not send me,) but I guess I should have made it even more clear...  Although, I'm really not sure how I could have.  Oh well.  It was fun to get a surprise in the mail regardless.  I'm just about done with my swap package, and I can't wait for my spoilee to get it!  =)  I'll post about it as soon as she does.

I love Archie and Jughead!!! The yarn is so pretty too. I've noticed that a lot of people don't seem to realize that vegan applies to more than food. That's frustrating...

yeah, a little bit. =) I did like the color of the yarn, but even if I wasn't vegan, I can't get past how scratchy wool is! eh, oh well. I went back to my wishlist and bolded everywhere I mentioned anything about being vegan. =) For next time.

I totally admit to being one of those friends that just realized when I read this post that being vegan applies more to food :) Sheena, send me a message as to what to look for, and I'll go through those clothes for the kids for you, I've never even thought of it. Sorry :) See, you open my eyes to a whole new world!!!

Colleen - heh =) Everything you've given me has been fine so far. Usually, I just have to check what sweaters are made of, make sure there's no wool or fur in it. But the kind of stuff my kids wear is normally cotton anyway.

Yeah that was my first Ravelry swap too. I didn't know what to expect because some of the packages have been amazing and some have been more what the heck? Sorry your spoiler didn't pay attention to the vegan part of you. But I guess you can send that stuff off to someone else in another swap lol.

emacaroni - I didn't know what to expect either, but it was still fun. I hope my spoilee likes what I sent her. I put a lot of effort into the things I made, but had a hard time picking a book for her. Our book tastes are a bit different. It was still fun, though. I'm looking forward to the Dr Who swap. =) and the robots one next January. hehe
